Governor Ron DeSantis Signs Twenty Eight Bills

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a total of twenty-eight bills into law today, covering a wide range of topics from mobile home park lot tenancies to digital voyeurism.

Among the bills signed by Governor DeSantis are measures addressing issues such as schemes to defraud, juvenile justice, HIV infection prevention drugs, and career and technical education. The Governor also signed bills related to debt relief services, interception and disclosure of oral communications, and exemption from regulation for nonprofit organizations.

In addition, Governor DeSantis approved legislation on a variety of other subjects, including excusal from jury service, artificial intelligence use in political advertising, and nicotine dispensing devices. The Governor also signed bills related to electronic access to official records, forensic investigative genetic genealogy grant programs, and tracking devices and applications.

One of the bills signed by Governor DeSantis, SB 548, pertains to public records. The Governor's office provided links for the public to access the transmittal letters associated with the bills, stating, "To view the transmittal letters, click here and here."

The newly signed bills cover a wide array of issues impacting various aspects of life in Florida. Governor DeSantis' approval of these measures reflects the ongoing legislative efforts in the state to address diverse challenges and improve the well-being of its residents.
