Two Bethune-Cookman University athletes have been recognized as Wildcats of the Week for their performances during the week of February 23 to March 1. Zariah Billinger from the softball team and Darryl Lee from the baseball team were selected for their contributions.
Billinger helped lead the softball team as they finished their last weekend of non-conference games. She achieved her first triple of the season, added a double, and collected eight hits in total. Billinger has started every game she has played this season and is currently batting above .200 at the midpoint of the 2026 campaign.
Lee, a senior on the baseball team, delivered strong results against Delaware State. Over 14 at-bats in that series, he scored 10 runs, recorded 10 hits, drove in four runs, hit five doubles, and stole multiple bases. On defense, while not called upon often in left field, he made key outs late in games.
Previous Wildcats of the Week include Rosalida Asumwa (tennis) and Ariel Bland (men’s basketball) for February 16-22; Mia Gonzalez (softball) and Edwin Sanchez (baseball) for February 9-15; Mya Johnson (women’s basketball) and Michael Carter (track & field) for February 2-8; among others throughout the academic year.
