The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats women’s tennis team will conclude its regular season on April 5 with a match against the Florida A&M Rattlers at the Althea Gibson Tennis Complex in Tallahassee, Fla.

This final matchup is significant as it marks the end of conference play before postseason tournaments. Both teams are looking to finish their seasons on a strong note, with Bethune-Cookman aiming to build momentum after recent successes.

Bethune-Cookman (4-10, 2-5) recently secured its first Southwestern Athletic Conference win of the season by defeating Mississippi Valley State. In that match, Madison Molock and Zaraha El-Zein won their doubles contest decisively, while El-Zein, Jalayah Shaw, and Rosalida Asumwa each claimed straight-set singles victories without conceding a point.

Florida A&M enters Sunday’s match with a record of 4-9 overall and 3-3 in conference play. The Rattlers are currently on a three-match losing streak that includes defeats by Southern University, Alabama A&M, and Jackson State. The team features returning All-SWAC performer Reagan Harris and graduate transfer Veronica Rodriguez as its top player. Florida A&M has shown strength in doubles competition this year, having lost only one doubles point during SWAC matches.

Fans can follow live coverage of the event online or keep up with updates through Bethune-Cookman’s official social media channels.
