Volusia County recently issued the following announcement.

The Volusia County Council will host a workshop on growth management and development permitting from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the county council chambers of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.

The directors from the Growth and Resources Management Department – Clay Ervin, Ginger Adair, Carol McFarlane and Kerry Leuzinger – will present background information on the existing rules, regulations and processes used for various growth management and development permits. The presentation will address current rules and procedures used in the implementation of the county’s adopted comprehensive plan, countywide environmental protection standards, land development regulations, zoning ordinance and the Florida Building Code.
