DSC Men’s Basketball Defeats Indian River 111-101 for 6th Straight Win

In a battle between undefeated teams ranked #4 and #5 in the NJCAA Region 8 Coaches Poll, Daytona State College held on to defeat Indian River State College 111-101 in a game that had 8 lead changes and 5 ties in the first half alone. Indian River led by as many as 7 points in the first half and Daytona State led by as many as 14 in the second half.

DSC continued their hot shooting making 41-74 field goals for 55.4% including 12-29 3 pointers for 41.4% and had 5 players in double figures.

Jacobs Crews led DSC with 30 points and 9 rebounds. Josue Grullon-German added 29 points making 10-16 field goal attempts (5-10 3 pt attempts). Ky Stattmann finished with 17 points and Angel Smith and Breylin Garcia scored 12 points each.
