City of Daytona Beach recently issued the following announcement.

Hit a home run when you sign your kids up for the city’s baseball league! Open to youth ages 4 to 12, register at www.codb.us/Activities. A series of free clinics will be offered in 

March to teach kids baseball fundamentals. Participants will learn hitting, base running, throwing, catching and fielding from former coaches with Major League Baseball 

experience. The clinics are 5 to 7 p.m. March 1-3, March 8-10 and March 15-17 at Bethune Point Park, 11 Bellevue Avenue. This year’s baseball clinics and season are sponsored 

by the Daytona Tortugas and the Tortugas Care Foundation.
