POSITION:  Full-Time Firefighter EMT and/or Paramedic

STARTING RATE: $13.27/Hr. (EMT) $15.234/Hr. (Paramedic)

VACANCY DATE: 10/1/22

High school diploma, GED, or other certificate of competency.  Must possess the following:  a State of Florida firefighter certification as certified by the Division of State Fire Marshal, a valid Florida Emergency Medical Technician certification (Paramedic Preferred) issued by the Division of Medical Quality Assurance and a valid Florida driver’s license.  A State of Florida pump operator certification by the Bureau of Fire Standards & Training is preferred. Applicant must be nicotine free and conform to the current tattoo policy. 

Under the general supervision of departmental superiors, incumbent is responsible for combating and extinguishing fires, maintaining fire rescue and medical equipment and apparatus, responding to and providing first aid and/or basic/advanced life support, and maintaining quarters. Work may be performed under situations extremely hazardous to personal health and safety.
