City of South Daytona recently issued the following announcement.

POSITION:  Full-Time Maintenance Worker I-CRA                                 

Salary Range:   $12.00 – $16.00/hour

Vacancy Date: Immediately

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of competency, and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in facility maintenance, grounds maintenance, and/or general construction.  Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license. Landscaping experience preferred, but not required.  Applicant must be tobacco free.

Performs a wide variety of skilled work in maintaining and/or repairing grounds, trees, flowers, streets, right of ways, and other City facilities/areas within the CRA (Community Redevelopment Area).  Position may also be responsible for Code Compliance tasks within the CRA to ensure all properties remain in compliance.  All work will be performed under general supervision of the Code Compliance Manager.
