The IWLCA has announced the rosters for the 2022 Senior All-Star games for Divisions I, II, and III and three Embry-Riddle student-athletes were included on the Division II roster. Kendall Leonard, Murphy McDonough and Elizabeth Ninesling will play for the South Team.
The senior trio combined to lead Embry-Riddle to a 13-4 overall record and a No. 17 final national ranking in 2022. McDonough led the Eagle offense with 91 points on 57 goals and 34 assists on the way to first-team All-Sunshine State Conference and IWLCA All-Region honors, as well as third-team All-America recognition.
Ninesling also earned All-Conference and All-Region accolades and was selected as an IWLCA second-team All-American. She made program history on April 17 becoming the first ERAU women’s lacrosse player to earn IWLCA National Player of the Week honors and set the ERAU career records for caused turnovers (58) and ground balls record (104).
Leonard is the Eagles’ all-time leader in games played (58) and games started (57) after starting all 17 games as a defender for the Eagles in 2022. Second to Ninesling with 94 career ground balls, she had 23 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers this season.
The Division II All-Star game takes place at 2:30 p.m. on June 5 at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.
