The second-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Men’s Basketball team continued their dominant run and extended their winning streak to 13, following a 100-58 victory over Rollins in Sunshine State Conference action on Wednesday evening. NSU tied the program record for three-point makes in a game, hitting 21 three-pointers as a team.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half – NSU began the game on an 8-2 run, taking advantage of early momentum. RJ Sunahara and Mike Moore hit back-to-back threes and gave the Sharks a 16-4 lead over the Tars. A few moments later, Moore created instant offense for Nova Southeastern, as the guard recorded a steal and made a layup, putting NSU on a 23-6 run to open the game. Moore continued to have the hot hand from beyond the arc, hitting back-to-back three-pointers and extended the Sharks lead to 36-10. Nova Southeastern closed the half leading 56-24 over Rollins.
 
Second Half – Tomas Murphy made his return to the lineup for NSU, as the forward capped off a 9-2 run for the Sharks to open the second half. Moore and Ryan Davis each hit a three, while assisting each other, pushing the Nova Southeastern advantage to 71-36. Pierre tallied an emphatic fastbreak dunk and followed with another three-point buck, giving NSU a 79-42 lead. Moore added four more three-point makes down the stretch, helping the Sharks close out their 13th consecutive victory.

STATS OF THE NIGHT
A three-point barrage carried the Sharks offense, hitting 21 as a team. Mike Moore hit a career-high 8, shooting 80% from beyond the arc.
Moore totaled 26 points, leading Shark scorers.
