Port Orange library hosts play about Ben Franklin

Author and performer Ray Flynt will portray Founding Father Benjamin Franklin during a one-man play titled “An Ingenious Life” at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle. 

Flynt penned the play, which is based on Franklin’s autobiography, letters and essays. He envisions Ben Franklin, late in his remarkable life, talking with visitors in his Philadelphia home.  

Flynt is an award-winning author of the “Unforgiving Shadows” and the “Cold Oath” mystery series. The Pennsylvania native lives in Broward County and is active with the Florida Chapter of Mystery Writers of America and the Florida Writers Association.
