City of New Smyrna Beach issued the following announcement.
There will be no solid waste collection on Friday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas Day and Friday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year's Day.
Alternate collection dates for affected routes are Tuesday, Dec. 29 & Jan. 5 for garbage and Saturday, Dec. 26 & Jan. 2 for recycling.
