Animal Control Board: Two vacancies – one resident, one SEVHS representative
The Animal Control Board is comprised of five members who must be New Smyrna Beach residents. No member may serve more than two consecutive terms unless waived by the City Commission. The Board must consist of a licensed veterinarian, a representative of the Southeast Volusia Humane Society, two animal owners and a citizen from the City who does not own an animal. The board recommends to the City Commission rules and regulations pertaining to operation of animal control facilities, standards, and procedures for enforcement and regulation.
Golf Advisory Board: One vacancy
The Golf Advisory Board is composed of seven members that must be New Smyrna Beach residents. No member may serve more than two consecutive terms unless waived by the City Commission. The duties and responsibilities of the Golf Advisory Board are to advise and make recommendations to the City Commission on matters relating to the operations of the Golf Course Facility and to submit a written report to the City Commission annually on or about Nov. 1 on the activity of the Board during the previous fiscal year.
