City of New Smyrna Beach issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.
The Florida Department of Transportation's goal is ZERO traffic fatalities. Why? Because they believe that EVERY LIFE COUNTS! That’s why every effort is being made to ensure the safety, mobility, and accessibility of all road users regardless of mode of transportation, age, ability, or socioeconomic status.
FDOT Central Florida staff will set up a tent & table at Flagler Boardwalk on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 8 a.m. to noon to use crosswalks with people who are walking and biking while providing tip cards, bicycle lights, and a photo booth.
