Bethune-Cookman University Athletics issued the following announcement on Sept. 12.

CoachTerry Sims Quote
"I saw a lot of good things today, but obviously it didn't go our way. The main thing was that we needed to get better, and I felt we did that."
"The game speed in all three phases of the game will help us Thursday and going into SWAC play. The first two non-conference games provided that for us"
Quarterback Shannon Patrick Quote
"On the first drive we came out fired up and clicking on all cylinders and were successful moving the ball. On the other drives we just fell short. What it comes down to is we need to finish, Once we start doing that, we will be ok. We have alot of firepower on this team, on the offense specifically."
