County staff to meet with IUPA, AFL-CIO

Volusia County issued the following announcement on Sept. 28.

Staff from the Volusia County Human Resources Division will meet with representatives of the International Union of Police Associations, AFL-CIO, which represents the county’s Division of Corrections, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, to discuss collective bargaining.

The meeting will be in the Thomas C. Kelly County Administration Center, first floor training room, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.

Notice under the Americans with Disabilities Act (Title II)

In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Volusia County will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs and activities. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity of the county, should contact the county’s ADA Title II coordinator, Jim Corbett, at 386-248-1760 at least two business days before the scheduled event or meeting.

This notice also applies to written requests by a physically handicapped person needing a special accommodation to attend a public meeting in accordance with section 286.26, Florida Statutes.
