New hospital plans, Glencoe Road storage facility, and more on Nov. 1 Planning & Zoning Board agenda

City of New Smyrna Beach issued the following announcement on Oct. 25.

The Planning & Zoning Board, made up of seven resident volunteers, will host their next regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the James W. Hathaway Chambers at 214 Sams Ave. to consider the following items:

Voluntary annexation of 1.06 acres at 1325 Scarlett Trail; staff recommends approval

Variance request to allow a 6-ft. high fence on top of an 18-in. retaining wall along the east property line at 910 E. 1st Ave.; staff recommends approval

Variance request to allow a pool and deck to be located 38-ft. 9-in. east of the Coastal Construction Control Line; staff recommends denial

Site plan approval for a three-building, 110,252-sq. ft. storage facility including 31 RV & boat spaces near the southwest corner of SR 44 & Glencoe Road; staff recommends approval

Master Development Agreement and Conceptual Development Plans for a new AdventHealth medical & retail development at the northeast corner of SR 44 & I-95; staff recommends approval

Zoning text amendment providing criteria for the Historic Preservation Commission to use when reviewing Vintage Sign applications; staff recommends approval

Discussion of a draft text amendment to update city parking standards
