City of Daytona Beach Shores issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.
A northbound lane closure is planned for a portion of South Atlantic Avenue (A1A) – from Demotte Avenue to Phyllis Avenue – in Daytona Beach Shores beginning Monday, Nov. 8.
The northbound lane will be closed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Nov. 8 to Nov. 19. Signs and a lane-shift operation will be in place to assist with traffic flow.
The temporary lane closure is needed during construction of a new park entrance.
The City appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and motorists during this time.
