City of New Smyrna Beach recently issued the following announcement.
Our free COVID-19 test site located in City Gym at 1000 Live Oak St. has processed 6,438 tests from Oct. 7 to Dec. 22, with 1,016 of which being administered on Dec. 20 alone!
As a reminder, hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The site offers both PCR and antigen tests with a 24 to 48-hour turnaround for PCR tests and 1-hour turnaround for antigen tests. The samples are processed in a CLIA-certified laboratory using FDA EUA-authorized test kits.
Individuals in need of a test are asked to bring an insurance card if they have one. If they do not have insurance, they will not be turned away. Appointments are not required, but you may pre-register by visiting www.nomihealth.com/fl and selecting your location.
