Volusia County recently issued the following announcement.
Work will begin next week on replacement of the beach ramp and restroom at Boylston Avenue in Daytona Beach. The restroom is being replaced because the existing structure has exceeded its life expectancy, while the ramp is being landscaped to improve aesthetics.
Contractors working for the Volusia County Coastal Division are scheduled to start work on Tuesday, Feb. 1. The beach ramp and restroom will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians during construction, which is expected to last approximately five months. During that time, pedestrians are advised to access the beach using the Williams Avenue beach ramp located approximately one tenth of a mile south of Boylston Avenue.
