City of Orange recently issued the following announcement.
The Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce is set to host a follow-up summit open to the public featuring leaders from New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, and Oak Hill to discuss the future of economic development for our region on Thursday, Feb. 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Brannon Center. Their first summit held on May 17, 2021 included the participation of all three city commissions and councils jointly focused on identifying target industries for future economic opportunities.
Items to be covered include:
- Improving the quality of life for all citizens
- Fostering the recruitment, retention, and expansion of high-paying jobs
- Restoring and sustaining our beautiful natural and build environment
- Collaborating as a region to accomplish greater things
