As easy as visiting your local parks!
The City of Deltona will be participating in the 2022 City Nature Challenge, which takes place from April 29th through May 2nd. The Nature Challenge encourages residents to visit Deltona’s parks and green spaces during the event’s four days, and get photos of the locations’ plants and animals.
You can participate in the Challenge by downloading the iNaturalist app from the App Store or the Google Play Store, and sign up for your iNaturalist account. You then join the project “City Nature Challenge 2022: Volusia County” and then use the app to record your photos.
The City Nature Challenge started in 2016 between two cities in California. Last year, almost four hundred and twenty cities in forty-four countries accepted the Challenge. For any additional information, visit citynaturechallenge.org.
