Volusia County’s veterans services offices will be closed from May 2 through 5 to allow staff to attend training and recertification programs. The offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday, May 6.
The county has veterans services offices in DeLand, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach and Orange City. Counselors assist former and current members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their dependents in preparing claims for compensation, pension, vocational training, and other benefits and privileges.
