The New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway, offers a variety of programs to help adults learn new skills and make new friends.
Here’s June’s lineup:
- Library volunteer Carolyn Carlisle will offer genealogy assistance from 1 to 3 p.m. every Monday in June. She will explain how to use the library’s free databases, which include Ancestry Library Edition, Heritage Quest, America’s Historical Newspapers and Fold 3. Find her in the computer lab.
- Bring your plant cuttings to the Master Gardener Plant Clinic at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, for a quick diagnosis and care plan.
- The Knit and Crochet Club will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 9. People of all skill levels are welcome to learn how to knit and crochet. Yarn and needles will be provided.
- Create unique jewelry and share tips at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 16. Bring your own materials and tools. Jewelry and supplies cannot be sold, but swapping and sharing are encouraged.
- The Select & Reflect Book Club will review “Under Occupation” by Alan Furst at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21. Newcomers are welcome to participate in this no-pressure book club!
- Beat the heat with Beach Bingo at 3 p.m. Monday, June 27. There is no cost to participate. Adults can register online, in person, or by phone. Registration begins June 1. Stop by the library service desk to pick up your Book Bingo card or call (386) 424-2910, option 3, for more information.
