14

Embry-Riddle Men's Lacrosse's Mark Urso was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) NCAA II South All-Region Team on Tuesday, May 24, earning a spot on the Honorable Mention roster. Urso became the Eagles' first-ever first team All-Sunshine State Conference performer at the faceoff position this year, and now picks up the Eagles' first-ever All-Region honor from the USILA.

Urso, a junior from Sandy Hook, Connecticut, has been the Blue and Gold's faceoff specialist for three seasons, and this past season he once again ranked as one of the best in the league. Urso won 183-of-315 faceoffs this season (.581), the fourth-most wins and the third-best percentage in the SSC. He ended the season winning the faceoff battle in 12 straight contests. Urso's 117 ground balls ranked third in the league this season and he was named the SSC's Specialist of the Week on April 11.

The junior ranked 15th in NCAA II with his 183 faceoff wins, and was 24th in the country in faceoff percentage (.581).
