Marine biologist to discuss Mosquito Lagoon

Meeting 10

Corie Charpentier, Ph.D., will kick off the Daytona Beach Regional Library’s monthly speaker series at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, with a discussion of biodiversity in local waterways, notably Volusia County’s Mosquito Lagoon.

A marine biologist and assistant professor at Stetson University, Dr. Charpentier conducts research in the ecology and physiology of coastal organisms and ecosystems.

Reservations are not required for this free program. For more information, call the library at 386-257-6036, option 4.

The library is open seven days a week at 105 Jackie Robinson Parkway. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
