Residents are encouraged to submit an application to serve on the city's Planning & Zoning Board, an unexpired term set to expire Oct. 31, 2023, before Tuesday, July 26.
The Planning and Zoning Board is composed of seven members who must be residents of the City. The board reviews site plans, subdivision plats and variance requests; the board also reviews and makes recommendations to the City Commission on street vacations and any other matters referred to them by the City Commission; the board also reviews and makes recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, Land Development Regulation amendments and annexations, etc. The board meets on the first Monday of each month in the James W. Hathaway Chambers at 214 Sams Ave.
