Celebrate pirates at the Port Orange library

Set sail on an imaginary tall ship for a pirate adventure with storyteller Chris Kastle at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle, Port Orange.

Kastle will share maritime lore, pirate lingo, songs and stories as she spins a tale about bold buccaneers of yesteryear in a presentation titled “A Passel of Pirates.”

Kastle is an award-winning storyteller, singer, songsmith, author, artist, poet and educator from St. Augustine. She’s a professional touring performer and seasoned traveler who offers insight into a lifetime of adventure and has received a lifetime achievement award from the Florida Storytelling Association. Her original works possess great imagery and have the occasional flavor of Celtic and maritime traditions.

Reservations are not required for this free program. For more information, call the library at 386-322-5152, option 4.
