What is the Duke Energy Neighborhood Energy Saver Program?

Duke Energy will assess your home to determine if you qualify for FREE attic insulation, duct sealing and AC maintenance. These free home improvements can save you up to $180 in annual energy costs. They’ll also cover any costs associated with the installation of these improvements that would otherwise cost you $500-$1,000.*They will provide you with up to 17 FREE energy-saving products and install them at no cost to you. These products can save you up to $135 annually on your energy bills. Safety is a priority. They are taking precautions for the safety of our customers and workers including: asking about the health of the home’s occupants prior to appointments, wearing protective equipment, practicing social distancing on-site, and limiting in-home contact as much as possible.

Free products include:

  • Energy-efficient lightbulbs
  • Energy-saving showerhead or shower wand
  • Caulking, weatherstripping and door sweeps
  • Water heater wraps/pipe wrap and more
  • Air filters
*Actual energy savings may differ from those estimated due to variations in individual energy use habits, home characteristics and measures installed. Costs of installation may vary depending on which measures are installed.
