Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has signed a total of fourteen bills into law on April 15, 2024. The bills cover a wide range of areas including tax collections, retirement systems, student achievement, cybersecurity, and more.
Among the bills signed by Governor DeSantis are HB 113 – Tax Collections and Sales, CS/HB 151 – Florida Retirement System, and HB 353 – Alternative Headquarters for District Court Judges. The Governor also approved bills related to cybersecurity, public-private partnerships, builder warranties, and broadband expansion.
In a statement released today, Governor DeSantis highlighted the importance of these bills for the state of Florida. The Governor's office provided a list of the bills signed, which includes CS/CS/CS/HB 1555 – Cybersecurity, CS/HB 7011 – Inactive Special Districts, and CS/SB 544 – Swimming Lesson Voucher Program.
