TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Governor Ron DeSantis has received six bills from the Florida Legislature and now has until May 15, 2024, to act on these proposed legislations.
The bills received by Governor DeSantis cover a range of topics including foreign investments, commodities produced by forced labor, energy resources, the role of the Chief Financial Officer, public records, and the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
These bills are identified as: HB 7071 – Foreign Investments by the State Board of Administration, CS/CS/HB 1331 – Commodities Produced by Forced Labor, CS/CS/HB 1645 – Energy Resources, CS/CS/CS/HB 989 – Chief Financial Officer, SB 7026 – Public Records, and CS/CS/SB 1084 – Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Governor DeSantis now holds the responsibility to review and make decisions on these bills within the stipulated timeframe.
