Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Silvia Castellanos to the Children’s Trust Governing Board of Miami-Dade County. The announcement was made today, with Governor DeSantis recognizing Castellanos for this new role.
Silvia Castellanos, a resident of Miami, brings a wealth of experience to her new position. She currently serves as the Director of External Affairs for Banyan Community Health Center. Prior to this role, Castellanos held positions as a Regional Representative for the Executive Office of the Governor and as a Senior Legislative Aide for the Florida House of Representatives.
Castellanos is well-educated, holding a bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida International University and a master’s degree in public administration from Florida State University.
Governor DeSantis expressed confidence in Castellanos' abilities by appointing her to this important board, which plays a significant role in serving the children of Miami-Dade County.
