Youth basketball league hits the floor this winter

Daytona Beach’s youth basketball league is open for registration for boys and girls ages 6 to 17. A free skills clinic will be every night at 5:30 p.m. through Nov. 15 at the Midtown Cultural and Educational Center at 925 George W. Engram Blvd. The player draft will be every night at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 28-30 at the Midtown Cultural and Educational Center. Games will begin Dec. 19 and continue through February. The registration fee is $40. Teens will be divided by skill level and trained as competitive athletes. 

Through the league, youth will focus on the main fundamentals of basketball (defense, shooting and passing), teamwork, self-confidence and having fun. For more information, call (386) 671-8250.
