The following programs are offered for patrons at Yvonne Scarlett-Golden Cultural & Educational Center at 1000 Vine St. 

Game Night
Come out and play the games you know and love! Game Night is from 5 to 7 p.m. every Thursday and hosted by Virginia Bell 

Girl Scouts
Girls in grades K through 12th can earn badges, participate in fun activities and find treasures by joining the Girl Scouts of the USA. The Girl Scouts meet at 6:30 p.m. every Friday. 

Golden Oasis
The Golden Oasis group meets from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday. Meetings are open to residents ages 55 and older and are instructed by Claudia McConnehead. 

John Riddick’s Kung-fu and Tai-Chi
Channel your inner peace by learning the art of Kung-Fu and Tai-Chi. Classes are offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The fee is $40 per month. 

PRETTY Ladies
Join the PRETTY Ladies mentoring group from 5:30 to 7 p.m. every Thursday night. The program is for girls ages 11-18. Meetings are free and hosted by Rakinya Hinson. 

Quilting
Enjoy free quilting from 1 to 4 p.m. every Tuesday in the theater room. Sessions are instructed by Barbara Scarlett. 

Young Future Kings
Boys grades 5th through 9th are invited to participate in the Young Future Kings mentoring program from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. This free mentoring group is instructed by Cornell Johnson.
