Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Athletics issued the following announcement on July 27.
Seven Embry-Riddle Men's Basketball student-athletes were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court on Tuesday, marking a program record for number of honorees while leading the Sunshine State Conference.
Jon Alessandro (Business Administration), Romeo Crouch (Business Administration), Calvin Freeman II (Aviation Business Administration), Elijah Jenkins (Mechanical Engineering), Nikola Jerotic (Business Administration), Danny Sully (Mechanical Engineering), David Velasco (Aerospace Engineering) all earned Honors Court distinction, bringing ERAU's program total to 32 honors since the program began in 2007.
Jenkins joins Andy Schleitwiler as the only three-time Honors Court awardee in program history, while Crouch earns his second straight Honors Court selection.
In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria: academically a junior or senior undergraduate and a varsity player with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2020-21 academic year.
