Bethune-Cookman University Athletics issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.
The Bethune-Cookman University volleyball team fell to Presbyterian (20-25, 18-25, 12-25) and host Georgia Southern (20-25, 14-25, 11-25) in the final day of the Bash In The Boro on Saturday in Statesboro, Ga.
The Lady Wildcats start the season 0-3 while Presbyterian finished the tournament 2-1 and Georgia Southern went an undefeated 3-0.
COACH WILLIAMS QUOTE:
"I fell we improved in some areas from yesterday's match against Coppin State, but also fell short in others. Our Ladies will regroup and get ready for a very tough tournament coming up next weekend."
GAME ONE NOTABLES:
Alleah Dallas led B-CU with five kills
Malina Spencer had a team-high three blocks while Dallas and Lauryn Coleman chipped in with two a piece
Kortney Curtis finished with a team leading 10 assist and eight digs
GAME TWO NOTABLES:
Jasmine Moore led Bethune-Cookman with 11 kills
Aryn Spencer and Malina Spencer led the defensive charge with three blocks each
Kortney Curtis again led the Lady Wildcats with 12 assist while Ayannah Henry finished the match with seven digs
ALL-TOURNAMENT:
Jasmine Moore earned All-Tournament Honors after finishing the two day event with 21 total kills
